A murder report has been received from Dakhala Majpara area of Dakshin Kamrup in which an drunken husband has attacked and killed his wife in the presence of his mother and son. Accused Kushal Thakuriya surrendered at Bijoynagar police station after admitting that he used a sharp weapon to assault his wife. Now he is sent to Palashbari police station for further investigation. She had one child. As per local sources, her husband was an alcoholic and used to erratically behave with his wife. The actual cause for murder is not known yet because it is being investigated by the police. The mother-in-law of the victim has also been taken into custody for further investigation.
