In remembrance of the legendary cultural icon and Bharat Ratna, Sudhakantha Dr. Bhupen Hazarika, a state-level Bhupendra Sangeet competition is being organized on Sunday, November 3, 2024, at Senior Secondary School (Howly Junior College), Howly. Contestants are requested to collect the registration forms from the mentioned address and submit them before or on October 30, 2024. Distant participants may contact the provided mobile numbers to submit their forms upon arrival at the event.
Competition Guidelines:
- The songs must be written and composed by Dr. Bhupen Hazarika.
- The time limit for each performance is set at 4 minutes, but it may be reduced based on the number of participants and the judges' discretion.
- The committee will provide musical instruments for the contestants.
- Contestants are allowed to perform with their own instruments, but the number of accompanying musicians cannot exceed three.
- A registration fee of ₹300 must be paid when submitting the form.
- The competition will start at 9 AM sharp.
- If the contestant is not present on stage when their name is called, they will be marked absent.
- Contestants are advised to wear decent attire.
- The competition will be held in two categories: 'A' and 'B.'
- Category 'A' includes participants aged 7 to 13 years, while category 'B' is for participants aged 14 years and above.
- Lunch will be provided for all participants.
- The judges' decision will be final.

Category A (7-13 years):
First Prize: ₹5,000
Second Prize: ₹4,000
Third Prize: ₹3,000
Category B (14+ years):
First Prize: ₹5,000
Second Prize: ₹4,000
