Heart-Wrenching! A Mother’s Last Note Found After She Leaps Into the Dikhow River with Her Child—What Did It Say?

In a tragic incident at Dikhow Bridge in Nazira, Sivasagar district, a woman allegedly jumped into the Dikhow River with her child clutched to her chest. Eyewitnesses immediately informed the police, who arrived at the scene and recovered a pair of sandals, a bag, and a note from the bridge.

The rescue operation was launched with the help of the State Disaster Response Force. A few hours later, two local youths fetched the lifeless bodies of the mother and child from the river. Later, the family members identified the deceased as Pallabi Gogoi Gohain, wife of Swapan Borgohain from Ward 10, Sandikoi Path in Nazira, along with their young son. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination to Sivasagar Civil Hospital.

The note behind her tells domestic problems had brought her to that fatal end. But much is yet to be known after the police investigations.
